The Carters are giving fans a look into their family in a new two-part documentary, and it will dive into the "extreme highs and tragic lows" of the family members, including Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter and his younger brother, the late Aaron Carter.

The doc, titled The Carters, will feature Nick and Aaron's sister Angel Carter Conrad's point of view (Aaron's twin sister), and showcase interviews with family friends including Melissa Joan Hart and Scout Willis Variety reports that the story Angel tells is a "sad and eye-opening tale."

In a statement to Variety, Angel shared, "This documentary is a labor of love for my family. By sharing our true story, one shaped by loss, resilience, and healing, I hope to honor our journey and transform our past into a message of hope and purpose for others facing similar challenges."

According to a press release, The Carters "unpacks the complicated family dynamics that led to the untimely deaths of three of the original five Carter kids as well as their father. The often enchanting but ultimately painful story of these engaging siblings begins in childhood as home movies reveal Nick and Aaron’s undeniable and precocious talent. But fame and fortune were accompanied by rivalries, jealousies, and exploitation from those they relied on most, their parents."

Aaron Carter tragically passed away at just 34 years old in 2022 due to accidental drowning, while Leslie Carter passed away ten years earlier in 2012 from an overdose, and their other sister, Bobbie Jean, also passed away following an overdose in 2023. Their father, Robert Carter died after suffering a heart attack in 2017.
