The New York Giants will retain head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen, despite a 4-13 finish to the 2024 NFL season, team owner John Mara revealed in a statement shared on behalf of the team Monday (January 6) morning.

"Now that our season is over, we felt in necessary to make this statement. Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll will continue in their respective roles with the organization. As disappointing as the results of the season have been, [co-owner] Steve (Tisch) and I remain confident in the process that Joe and Brian have implemented and their vision for our team," Mara said. "We look forward to the future and achieving the results we all desire."

Schoen and Daboll were both hired by the Giants prior to the 2022 season, which resulted in a 9-7-1 finish and playoff berth, losing, 38-7, to the eventual NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles in the divisional round. New York has gone a combined 9-35 during the past two seasons, which included a 3-14 finish in 2024, ranking last in the NFC East Division standings.

The Giants are set to pick at No. 3 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft after being projected to have the top pick prior to an upset win against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 17, which was followed by a blowout loss to the division rival Eagles, who were playing their backups, in Week 18.
